THE PRESS ASSOCIATION of Jamaica (PAJ) has announced a change of date for its annual general meeting (AGM) that was originally scheduled for August 1st. The AGM has been rescheduled for Sunday, August 22, 2010 at the PAJ’s office, 5 East Avenue, Kingston 8, commencing at 11a.m.
AGM Agenda
1. Members will be asked to approve:
a) Proposed revision of the PAJ’s constitution.
b) The proposed Code of Practice for Journalists
Both the proposed Revised Constitution and the Code of Practice are attached for members’ perusal, and are also available at www.pressassociationjamaica.org
2. Members will receive reports from the secretary and treasurer of the Association
3. Members will elect a new executive to manage the Association’s affairs for the ensuing 12 months.
Membership Fee
Members are reminded that the annual membership fee of $3000 is now due for renewal, and that only paid-up members are allowed to vote at the AGM. Registration Members are asked to indicate their attendance in advance to the PAJ secretariat by August 19th to facilitate logistic arrangements for the AGM.
